Throughout the semester students have learned skills to re-purpose clothing. From embroidery to distressing, each student's project highlights various techniques and creative ideas. Take a look and see what we've been working on.
EMBROIDERED WORKS
DISTRESSED PIECES
Students utilized embroidery techniques along with basic sewing skills to customize various pieces giving new character to old articles of clothing.
Though they're intended to look worn, these students' projects revitalized old garments using distressing techniques such as bleach dying, ripping and fraying.
REWORK PROJECTS
These students used materials from various items to create entirely new pieces, making a statement about the limitless possibilities of upcycling.
